Record #112011:
High-frequency paleovariability in climate and CO₂ levels from Vostok ice core records / P. Yiou, and 7 others.
Title: | High-frequency paleovariability in climate and CO₂ levels from Vostok ice core records / P. Yiou, and 7 others. |
Author(s): | Yiou, P. |
Date: | 1991. |
In: | Journal of Geophysical Research. (1991.), Vol. 96(B12) (1991) |
Abstract: | Data provided by continuous time series from Vostok ice core covering last 164 ka with average resolution of 100 years. Records present strong evidence for interaction between orbital forcing and internal physico-chemical mechanisms of variability. Interaction appears to account for great wealth of spectral features found in records. |
Notes: | Journal of Geophysical Research. Vol. 96(B12) :20, 365-20, 378 (1991). |
Keywords: | 551.32 -- Glaciology. 551.321 -- Glaciological methods and instruments. 551.321.2 -- Snow and ice, methods of sampling, excavating, drilling, etc. 622.14 -- Core sampling, ice and snow. 551.324 -- Land ice. 551.324.82 -- Bubbles in glaciers and ice. 551.583 -- Climatic changes. 551.583.3 -- Climatic changes, Quaternary. 551.338 -- Ice ages, theories of causation.
