| Abstract: | Presents some first examples of data of this nature, acquired from aircraft-mounted sensor, for sea ice together with initial examination of signature variations within and between apparently different ice types (multi-year, thick and thin first-year, and deformed) in images. From observations, regularities in signatures were identified as well as variations. Images were acquired in Beaufort, Bering and Chukchi seas in March 1988. |
