| Abstract: | Presents overview of use of conventional spray ice islands in Beaufort Sea and describes recent technological advances to construct spray ice islands in greater water depths. Construction is possible in depths up to 11 m if seabed enhancement techniques are used and in depths up to 16 m if spraying is carried out from marine vessels or spray-rubble generator platform. Other technology also discussed. |
