Title: Early decay of Barents Shelf ice sheet - spread of stable isotope signals across the eastern Norwegian Sea / Mara S. Weinelt, Michael Sarnthein, Elke Vogelsang, Helmut Erlenkeuser.

Date: 1991.
In: Norsk Geologisk Tidsskrift. (1991.), Vol. 71(3) (1991)
Abstract: Based on planktonic δ¹⁸O records from 16 sediment cores from Norwegian Sea, meltwater signal was traced which marks onset of Termination I. From its discharge point south of Bjørnøya, it spread alongshore Norwegian margin up to 6°N, thereby suggesting clockwise-directed drift of icebergs and surface water in Norwegian Sea, opposite of present circulation pattern.
