Record #111800:

Future technology for disbonding snow and ice from pavements / Albert F. Wuori.

Title: Future technology for disbonding snow and ice from pavements / Albert F. Wuori.
Author(s): Wuori, Albert F.
Date: 1991.
Publisher: New York: American Society of Civil Engineers
In: Cold Regions Engineering. Proceedings of the Sixth International Specialty Conference ... the Sheraton North Country Inn, West Lebanon, NH, February 26-28, 1991. (1991.),
Abstract: Reviews new techniques in pavement construction, e.g. surface modification such as use of rubber additive, and in noncontact methods, such as electromagnetic radiation, abrasive air and liquid jets, acoustic waves, and application of pressurized deicer directly to ice-pavement interface. Also describes analyses and experiments to develop better cutting edges for snow ploughs.
