Record #111787:

Ice jam configuration: second generation model / S. Beltaos, J. Wong.

Title: Ice jam configuration: second generation model / S. Beltaos, J. Wong.
Author(s): Beltaos, S.
Wong, J.
Date: 1991.
Publisher: New York: American Society of Civil Engineers
In: Cold Regions Engineering. Proceedings of the Sixth International Specialty Conference ... the Sheraton North Country Inn, West Lebanon, NH, February 26-28, 1991. (1991.),
Abstract: Earlier model of ice-jam configuration in wide prismatic channels is generalized for applications to natural streams. Test runs were carried out to illustrate model performance and study configuration of non-equilibrium jams. Model was next applied to unique field data set that included measurements of ice-jam thickness and satisfactory predictions were obtained.
