MUT1D: user-friendly one-dimensional thermal model / W. Alan Braley, John P. Zarling.
Title: | MUT1D: user-friendly one-dimensional thermal model / W. Alan Braley, John P. Zarling. |
Author(s): | Braley, W. Alan. Zarling, John P. |
Date: | 1991. |
Publisher: | New York: American Society of Civil Engineers |
In: | Cold Regions Engineering. Proceedings of the Sixth International Specialty Conference ... the Sheraton North Country Inn, West Lebanon, NH, February 26-28, 1991. (1991.), |
Abstract: | Describes microcomputer-based heat conduction model for estimating changes in temperature and movement of freeze and thaw isotherms in soils. Uses finite difference techniques. Problems are described using various surface boundary conditions ranging from specified surface temperature to surface energy balance comprised of short- and long-wave radiation, wind speed, cloud cover, and air temperatures. Heat flux at lower boundary may be specified. Problem description is expedited by input and modification screens which are integrated into program. |
