Saline outflow from the Arctic Ocean: its contribution to the deep waters of the Greenland, Norwegian, and Iceland seas / K. Aagaard, E. Fahrbach, J. Meincke, J.H. Swift.

Title: Saline outflow from the Arctic Ocean: its contribution to the deep waters of the Greenland, Norwegian, and Iceland seas / K. Aagaard, E. Fahrbach, J. Meincke, J.H. Swift.

Date: 1991.
In: Journal of Geophysical Research. (1991.), Vol. 96(C11) (1991)
Abstract: Reports new observations demonstrating that Arctic Ocean outflow results in formation of several distinct intermediate and deep salinity maxima within Greenland Sea. Also provides clear evidence of mixing between Greenland Sea and Arctic Ocean deep waters, including production of Norwegian Sea deep water, and of flow of Arctic Ocean deep water into Iceland Sea.
