Abstract: Reports sensitivity study relating polar ozone loss rate to value of sticking coefficient γ for the reaction converting odd nitrogen into nitric acid on sulphate aerosols. Study used 2D model including nitrogen and chlorine families along with an explicit condensation mechanism for polar stratospheric clouds (PSCs) and a fixed distribution of background sulphate aerosols in the lower stratosphere.
