Record #111441:

Interpretation of passive microwave imagery of surface snow and ice: Harding Lake, Alaska / Rae A. Melloh, Duane T. Eppler, L. Dennis Farmer, Lawrence W. Gatto, Edward F. Chacho.

Title: Interpretation of passive microwave imagery of surface snow and ice: Harding Lake, Alaska / Rae A. Melloh, Duane T. Eppler, L. Dennis Farmer, Lawrence W. Gatto, Edward F. Chacho.
Author(s): Melloh, Rae A.
Eppler, Duane T.
Farmer, L. Dennis.
Gatto, Lawrence W.
Chacho, Edward F.
Date: 1991.
In: CRREL Report. (1991.), Vol. 91-11 (1991)
Abstract: Near Fairbanks. Uses airborne 33.6 GHz passive microwave imagery acquired from 1500 m on 8 and 11 March 1988, when snow conditions were dry and wet, respectively. Field data include aerial video mosaic, ice-column descriptions, snow observations and impulse radar trace. Results show that low-altitude passive microwave imagery is promising for remote or field investigations of large-scale lake-ice processes.
