Abstract: Predicted that surging Hubbard Glacier, AK, will dam Russell Fjord again within next decade. Habitat Investigations Program of Auke Bay Laboratory (ABL), Alaska Fisheries Science Center, has recently completed 4-year study to assess probable impacts of next major flooding due to bursting of this ice dam. Major objective was to determine distribution and use of salmonid spawning and rearing habitat in Situk River basin in relation to predicted flood zone.
