Abstract: Diomedea exulans acoustic signals associated with nuptial display studied on Crozet Archipelago. Gives first description of nine signals (comprising five vocalisations) with their characteristics. Repertoire of acoustic signals compared with that of other albatross species. Discusses strong links between visual and acoustic repertoires and proposes a biological function of acoustic signals.
