A model evaluation of noninductive graupel-ice charging in the early electrification of a mountain thunderstorm / Conrad L. Ziegler, Donald R. MacGorman, James E. Dye, Peter S. Ray.

Title: A model evaluation of noninductive graupel-ice charging in the early electrification of a mountain thunderstorm / Conrad L. Ziegler, Donald R. MacGorman, James E. Dye, Peter S. Ray.

Date: 1991.
In: Journal of Geophysical Research. (1991.), Vol. 96(D7) (1991)
Abstract: Compares results from numerical cloud model with in situ measurements made during rapid early electrification of New Mexico storm on 31 July 1984. Separate model tests were conducted, several with noninductive charging only and one with combined inductive and noninductive charging, to gauge robustness of main hypothesis.
