Record #111157:

Glacier dynamics in the Susitna River basin, Alaska, U.S.A. / Ted S. Clarke.

Title: Glacier dynamics in the Susitna River basin, Alaska, U.S.A. / Ted S. Clarke.
Author(s): Clarke, Ted S.
Date: 1991.
In: Journal of Glaciology. (1991.), Vol. 37(125) (1991)
Abstract: Presents measurements and observations on glaciers that form headwaters of river, focusing on Susitna Glacier and its tributaries, West Fork and East Fork glaciers. Measured ice flux is compared to balance flux, and equilibrium between them is taken to be indicative of surge behaviour. Supporting evidence for this interpretation of flux composition is provided by moraine patterns on pre- and post-surge air photographs and from comparison of surface-elevation changes of glacier since last surge.
