Record #111148:

Equilibrium oxygen- and hydrogen-isotope fractionation between ice and water / M. Lehmann, U. Siegenthaler.

Title: Equilibrium oxygen- and hydrogen-isotope fractionation between ice and water / M. Lehmann, U. Siegenthaler.
Author(s): Lehmann, M.
Siegenthaler, U.
Date: 1991.
In: Journal of Glaciology. (1991.), Vol. 37(125) (1991)
Abstract: High-precision measurements on ice grown from stirred water mass on cooling plate. Freezing velocity was varied, keeping stirring rate constant so that equilibrium fractionation factors could be determined by extrapolating to zero freezing velocity. Non-equilibrium freezing of lake and sea ice is discussed briefly as well as significance of results for deuterium excess in polar precipitation.
