| Abstract: | Three new units of glacial and glaciolacustrine origin, older than St Pierre sediments, have been found at this site on north shore of St Lawrence River. Lowermost (Portneuf) till lies on Ordovician bedrock and is covered by deglaciation varves. Course of glaciation can be deduced. Sequence represents either two separate glacial events or one major event with late glacial phase. |
