Record #110913:

An apparent 1-year lag relationship of heavy snow years between Eurasia and North America (abstract) / Tomohiko Iwasaki.

Title: An apparent 1-year lag relationship of heavy snow years between Eurasia and North America (abstract) / Tomohiko Iwasaki.
Author(s): Iwasaki, Tomohiko.
Date: 1991.
In: National Institute of Polar Research. Proceedings of the NIPR Symposium on Polar Meteorology and Glaciology. (1991.), Vol. 4 (1991)
Abstract: Investigates interannual variability of winter snow cover in northern hemisphere, using satellite-derived monthly snow-cover data from 1967 to 1987. Time series of two key regions (eastern Eurasia and western North America) showed apparent 1-year lag relationship of heavy snow years, winter with extensive snow cover over Eurasia tends to be followed by extensive snow cover over North America during succeeding winter.
