| Abstract: | Occur in many parts of Canadian Arctic. Localized hydrologic phenomena reflecting interaction between ground freezing and groundwater hydrodynamics. Associated with winter freezing of active permafrost. Three types are recognized and described: frost blisters, icing blisters, and icing mounds, and their genesis and collapse explained. |
