Record #110698:

Postglacial tectonic and sea level history of the central Canadian Arctic / Arthur S. Dyke, Thomas F. Morris, David E.C. Green.

Title: Postglacial tectonic and sea level history of the central Canadian Arctic / Arthur S. Dyke, Thomas F. Morris, David E.C. Green.
Author(s): Dyke, Arthur S.
Morris, Thomas F.
Green, David E. C.
Date: 1991.
In: Geological Survey of Canada. Bulletin. (1991.), Vol. 397 (1991)
Abstract: Documents postglacial sea level history of large part of Canadian Arctic and provides evidence that process of postglacial crustal rebound was complicated by reactivation of large regional tectonic structures, particularly Boothia Arch. Proposes hypothesis of 'Holocene (postglacial) block tectonics' in which Canadian Arctic Archipelago recovered from glacial depression as mosaic of blocks, some - but not all - tilting during uplift.
