Abstract: Examines Canadian Government's policy of resettling Inuit from areas of dwindling food resources further south to form new communities at Resolute Bay, Cornwallis Island, and Grise Fiord, Ellesmere Island. Investigates basis for policy in Canadian concern to assert sovereignity over Queen Elizabeth Islands. Reviews conclusions of Hickling Report set up to review affair.
