Record #110676:

Caledonian vein mineralizations in the Proterozoic basement of northern Sweden / Rolf L. Romer.

Title: Caledonian vein mineralizations in the Proterozoic basement of northern Sweden / Rolf L. Romer.
Author(s): Romer, Rolf L.
Date: 1991.
In: Geologiska Föreningens i Stockholm Förhandlingar. (1991.), Vol. 113(1) (1991)
Abstract: Calcite and quartz veins with Ag-rich galena occur along N-S to 20° E striking Caledonian lineaments. Deposits are usually small and unevenly mineralized, but locally they have high Ag and Au content. Both Proterozoic volcanogenic sulphide deposits and Caledonian vein mineralizations have geochemical haloes. Since two mineralization types have very different economic potential and different isotopic signatures, lead isotopic composition could represent possible tool to distinguish two kinds of haloes.
