Record #110673:

The Middagsberget gold occurrence in northern Sweden / Heikki Markkula.

Title: The Middagsberget gold occurrence in northern Sweden / Heikki Markkula.
Author(s): Markkula, Heikki.
Date: 1991.
In: Geologiska Föreningens i Stockholm Förhandlingar. (1991.), Vol. 113(1) (1991)
Abstract: In Skellefte sulphide ore district. Quartz fracture-fillings in dilatant zones within ore-hosting diorite as well as in surrounding, strongly folded metasedimentary and metavolcanic rocks, suggest epigenetic charcter of emplacement. Alteration assemblages and gold-sulphide paragenesis favour multi-stage hydrothermal gold deposition. Most of gold occurs as native gold in minor droplets and interfillings within arsenopyrite crystals. Middagsberget deposit is "new" type in northern Sweden.
