| Abstract: | Investigates mapping of sea, land ice, sea ice and clouds from Advanced Very High Resolution Radiometer (AVHRR) images taken over Antarctica in daylight. Proposes classification scheme, based on thresholds retrieved from multispectral patterns of representative data, which can be used for real time analysis of AVHRR images in scientific and logistic activities and gives satisfactory separation of different categories. |
