Record #110586:

Ecological and physiological investigations in continental Antarctic cryptograms. II. Moisture relations and photosynthesis of lichens near Casey station, Wilkes Land / L. Kappen, M. Breuer.

Title: Ecological and physiological investigations in continental Antarctic cryptograms. II. Moisture relations and photosynthesis of lichens near Casey station, Wilkes Land / L. Kappen, M. Breuer.
Author(s): Kappen, L.
Breuer, M.
Date: 1991.
In: Antarctic Science. (1991.), Vol. 3(3) (1991)
Abstract: In second of three field studies on ecology and physiology of lichens on Clark Peninsula, photosynthetic activity due to natural and artificial soaking of lichen thalli investigated. Net photosynthesis depressed at super-optimal water content, but less so by natural soaking; contact with snow found to be frequently near optimum for photosynthesis.
