Record #110582:

Hydrocarbons in the Antarctic marine environment / G.C. Cripps, J. Priddle.

Title: Hydrocarbons in the Antarctic marine environment / G.C. Cripps, J. Priddle.
Author(s): Cripps, G. C.
Priddle, J.
Date: 1991.
In: Antarctic Science. (1991.), Vol. 3(3) (1991)
Abstract: Antarctic marine ecosystem contains low concentrations of range of hydrocarbons of biogenic origin which make it suitable yardstick for assessment of future hydrocarbon pollution. Presently, contamination very low and difficult to resolve against background, and local pollution restricted to a very few events. Proposes systematic programme to monitor local and global pollution. Review article with extensive bibliography.
