Record #110537:

Climate model comparison of Gondwanan and Laurentide glaciations / Thomas J. Crowley, Steven K. Baum, William T. Hyde.

Title: Climate model comparison of Gondwanan and Laurentide glaciations / Thomas J. Crowley, Steven K. Baum, William T. Hyde.
Author(s): Crowley, Thomas J.
Baum, Steven K.
Hyde, William T.
Date: 1991.
In: Journal of Geophysical Research. (1991.), Vol. 96(D5) (1991)
Abstract: Focuses on major difference between boundary conditions of these two glaciations: Gondwanan glaciations occurred on large landmass, or supercontinent. Three levels of sensitivity experiments were conducted to examine effects of large landmass on magnitude of summer warming over ice sheets. Results suggest that conditions necessary to explain Gondwanan ice-sheet stability may be known, but required boundary conditions would be more extreme than in Pleistocene.
