Glacial deposits at Wylfa Head, Anglesey, north Wales: evidence for Late Devensian deposition in a non-marine environment / Charles Harris.
Title: | Glacial deposits at Wylfa Head, Anglesey, north Wales: evidence for Late Devensian deposition in a non-marine environment / Charles Harris. |
Author(s): | Harris, Charles. |
Date: | 1991. |
In: | Journal of Quaternary Science : JQS. (1991.), Vol. 6(10) (1991) |
Abstract: | Nature and origin of deposits established, and significance with regard to sedimentary environments during deglaciation of Irish Sea basin is discussed. Challenges recent models of deglaciation under glaciomarine conditions. Suggests how landforms and deposits resulted from warm-based Irish Sea glacier which moved south-west. |
