Record #110477:

Laurentide ice extent inferred from stable isotopic composition (O,C) of ostracodes at Toronto, Canada / Henry P. Schwarcz, Nicholas Eyles.

Title: Laurentide ice extent inferred from stable isotopic composition (O,C) of ostracodes at Toronto, Canada / Henry P. Schwarcz, Nicholas Eyles.
Author(s): Schwarcz, Henry P.
Eyles, Nicholas.
Date: 1991.
In: Quaternary Research. (1991.), Vol. 35(3, Pt. 1) (1991)
Abstract: Presents data on isotopic composition of two species which differ in their ecological requirements and which were taken from stratigraphic sequence exposed along Scarborough Bluffs. Differences are reflected by differences in isotopic compositions and show they must have lived in different parts of glacial Lake Ontario. Co-occurrence in homogeneous samples of lake sediment indicates that post-mortem transport took place by means of sediment transport. Data suggest basin was fully glaciated only during Late Wisconsin.
