Record #110304:

On the extent and thickness of the Innuitian ice sheet: a postglacial-adjustment approach / A. Mark Tushingham.

Title: On the extent and thickness of the Innuitian ice sheet: a postglacial-adjustment approach / A. Mark Tushingham.
Author(s): Tushingham, A. Mark.
Date: 1991.
In: Canadian Journal of Earth Sciences. (1991.), Vol. 28(2) (1991)
Abstract: Discusses controversy concerning extent and thickness of ice sheet during last glacial maximum (18 ka BP). New data from Thores River, Ellesmere Island, emphasize difficulty of relating sample elevations to ancient sea levels in this region. Relative sea-level data favour thick, extensive Innuitian ice sheet. To reconcile geomorphological evidence and presence of high raised beaches, it is proposed that ice sheet was largely cold-based.
