Record #110297:
Influence of glacial isostatic adjustment on tide gauge measurements of secular sea level change / William R. Peltier, A. Mark Tushingham.
Title: | Influence of glacial isostatic adjustment on tide gauge measurements of secular sea level change / William R. Peltier, A. Mark Tushingham. |
Author(s): | Peltier, William R. Tushingham, A. Mark. |
Date: | 1991. |
In: | Journal of Geophysical Research. (1991.), Vol. 96(B4) (1991) |
Abstract: | After filtering to remove contamination due to isostatic adjustment, geographic heterogeneity is reduced, so much so that globally coherent component consisting of rise of sea level at rate of 2.4 mm a⁻¹ is revealed. Could be driven by greenhouse effect. |
Notes: | Journal of Geophysical Research. Vol. 96(B4) :6779-6796 (1991). |
Keywords: | 551.32 -- Glaciology. 551.46 -- Oceanography, physical. 551.461.2 -- Sea level, fluctuations. 551.334.2 -- Isostasy, glacial. 551.46.081 -- Sea level, instruments for measuring. C -- Oceanography, hydrography and hydrology. |
