Record #110224:

The distribution and stratigraphy of drumlins in Ireland / A. Marshall McCabe.

Title: The distribution and stratigraphy of drumlins in Ireland / A. Marshall McCabe.
Author(s): McCabe, A. Marshall.
Date: 1991.
Publisher: Rotterdam, Brookfield: A.A. Balkema
In: Glacial deposits in Great Britain and Ireland. (1991.),
Abstract: Discusses importance of these features to consideration of ice-sheet behaviour in Ireland. Suggests that they are best examined using facies-analysis approach. Results imply that special and sequential depositional and glaciological events occurred before and during drumlin streamlining. Likely that these conditions are not fully recognized in modern analogues and seem to have occurred over very restricted areas covered by Late Pleistocene ice. Text references to other publications at end of volume.
Notes:

In: Glacial deposits in Great Britain and Ireland / Jürgen Ehlers, Philip L. Gibbard, Jim Rose, eds.

Keywords: 551.33 -- Glacial geology.
551.332.54 -- Drumlins.
E7 -- Glaciology: glacial geology and ice ages.
(415) -- Ireland.
