Abstract: Area forms link between Quaternary sediments formed from Irish Sea and North Sea ice sheets and was directly affected by ice during Anglian and Wolstonian glacial episodes. Did not generate its own ice sheet but affected and modified ice that crossed region from west. Non-glacial deposits help to determine environmental conditions during non-glacial Pleistocene. Text references to other publications at end of volume.
