Record #110203:

Glacial deposits of the English Lake District / John Boardman.

Title: Glacial deposits of the English Lake District / John Boardman.
Author(s): Boardman, John.
Date: 1991.
Publisher: Rotterdam, Brookfield: A.A. Balkema
In: Glacial deposits in Great Britain and Ireland. (1991.),
Abstract: Focuses on north-eastern part, especially Mosedale Beck. Evidence suggests two styles of glaciation: regional, when mountains were inundated by ice, and spatially limited corrie and upland-valley glaciation. Characteristic deposit of active phase of regional glaciation is lodgement till, with phase of ice wastage being represented by ablation till and glaciofluvial deposits. Text references to other publications at end of volume.
