Record #110187:

Pre-Anglian glacial deposits and glaciations in Britain / Richard W. Hey.

Title: Pre-Anglian glacial deposits and glaciations in Britain / Richard W. Hey.
Author(s): Hey, Richard W.
Date: 1991.
Publisher: Rotterdam, Brookfield: A.A. Balkema
In: Glacial deposits in Great Britain and Ireland. (1991.),
Abstract: No pre-Anglian till has yet been positively identified in Britain; however, indirect evidence suggests that North Sea glacier approached East Anglian coast in Baventian times (Early Pleistocene). Also evidence that glacial sediment was carried down ancestral Thames during at least three pre-Anglian cold intervals. Could have been derived from earlier till in Cotswolds or from contemporary active glacier in Midlands. Text references to other publications at end of volume.
