Record #110184:

The influence of a simulated transport corridor on snowpack characteristics, Fort Norman, N.W.T., Canada / G. Peter Kershaw.

Title: The influence of a simulated transport corridor on snowpack characteristics, Fort Norman, N.W.T., Canada / G. Peter Kershaw.
Author(s): Kershaw, G. Peter.
Date: 1991.
In: Arctic and Alpine Research. (1991.), Vol. 23(1) (1991)
Abstract: Object was to determine amount of nature and change in snowpack characteristics after clearing linear corridor in sub-Arctic upland conifer forest. Alterations in snowpack affect its thermal properties and thus change soil and near-surface permafrost properties. Study site, which represented any cleared right-of-way (roads, pipe lines), was on north-facing slope underlain by permafrost.
