Record #110183:

Computer simulation of radar altimetric waveforms / Eva Novotny, A. Paul R. Cooper.

Title: Computer simulation of radar altimetric waveforms / Eva Novotny, A. Paul R. Cooper.
Author(s): Novotny, Eva.
Cooper, A. Paul R.
Date: 1991.
In: International Journal of Remote Sensing. (1991.), Vol. 12(1) (1991)
Abstract: Uses computer program in ANSI Standard FORTRAN 77. Single waveforms or trains of waveforms at any pulse interval can be calculated. Antenna characteristics are modelled, including off-nadir pointing. Earth is modelled as oblate spheroid upon which any desired topography can be superimposed, either by means of formulae or as numerical data. Angular dependence of scattering coefficients can be treated. Comparisons between Seasat and simulated waveforms are presented for ice caps and for sea ice.
Notes:
