Record #110173:

A case study of atmospheric boundary layer mean structure for flow parallel to the ice edge: aircraft observations from CEAREX / William J. Shaw, Randal L. Pauley, Teresa M. Gobel, Lawrence F. Radke.

Title: A case study of atmospheric boundary layer mean structure for flow parallel to the ice edge: aircraft observations from CEAREX / William J. Shaw, Randal L. Pauley, Teresa M. Gobel, Lawrence F. Radke.
Author(s): Shaw, William J.
Pauley, Randal L.
Gobel, Teresa M.
Radke, Lawrence F.
Date: 1991.
In: Journal of Geophysical Research. (1991.), Vol. 96(C3) (1991)
Abstract: Presents observational case study from vicinity of marginal ice zone in Barents Sea, 24 March 1989. Geostropic wind was oriented 15° off-ice with speed of 12 m s⁻¹, with uniform atmospheric conditions above boundary layer: thus, structure observed in ABL was directly due to atmospheric interaction with ocean or ice surface.
