| Abstract: | Identifies deposits of six glacial episodes, including five till beds and fluvial deposits of one temperate substage, lying between Holsteinian and Eemian interglacials. Depositional environments and general petrological features of these sediments are described and their stratigraphical position discussed. Record suggests that reforestation phases occurred during Saalian, contradicting recent continental stratigraphies. |
