Record #110155:

Terminal environment, topographic control and fluctuations of West Greenland glaciers / Charles R. Warren.

Title: Terminal environment, topographic control and fluctuations of West Greenland glaciers / Charles R. Warren.
Author(s): Warren, Charles R.
Date: 1991.
In: Boreas. (1991.), Vol. 20(1) (1991)
Abstract: Examines contrasting behaviour of tidewater, lake-calving, and land-terminating glaciers over past 50 years, and assesses relative importance of climatic and non-climatic controls on their fluctuations. Recent (1942-85) fluctuations of 72 glaciers were studied using air photographs, and nine of them examined directly. Despite similar climatic forcing, variable behaviour is apparent.
