Record #110155:
Terminal environment, topographic control and fluctuations of West Greenland glaciers / Charles R. Warren.
Title: | Terminal environment, topographic control and fluctuations of West Greenland glaciers / Charles R. Warren. |
Author(s): | Warren, Charles R. |
Date: | 1991. |
In: | Boreas. (1991.), Vol. 20(1) (1991) |
Abstract: | Examines contrasting behaviour of tidewater, lake-calving, and land-terminating glaciers over past 50 years, and assesses relative importance of climatic and non-climatic controls on their fluctuations. Recent (1942-85) fluctuations of 72 glaciers were studied using air photographs, and nine of them examined directly. Despite similar climatic forcing, variable behaviour is apparent. |
Notes: | Boreas. Vol. 20(1) :1-15 (1991). |
