| Abstract: | During last century, ample ice production was possible every year, but regular export of ice was restricted to areas of Norway with low winter temperatures. Demand for ice fluctuated with air temperatures of importing countries and was dominated by shipments to Great Britain and Germany, with peak production in 1898. |
