Title: The trans-Siberian runaway / Yevgeniy Potapov.
Author(s): Potapov, Yevgeniy.
Potapov, Eugene.
Date: 1991.
In: BBC Wildlife. (1991.), Vol. 9(6) (1991)
Abstract: Describes problems of studying Siberian crane chick in tundra in north-east Yakutiya, due to its speed, its camouflage and weather conditions. This bird was threatened with extinction in 1970s, when "Operation White Crane" was set up. However, releasing captive-bred cranes into wild is not very successful.
