| Abstract: | Heat flow measurements, with corrections for sedimentation, made to refine estimates of age of basin and to contribute to understanding of regional framework for opening of Drake Passage. Calculated age for basin of 25-32 Ma indicates its creation prior to initiation of seafloor spreading in Scotia Sea. |
