Abstract: Speculates on effects of possible global warming on eastern Canadian seabirds, based on their ecology today. Predicts northerly shifting of ranges, creation of new polynyas in Arctic pack ice providing feeding grounds for Dovekies Alle alle, elimination of low-lying breeding sites such as sand banks by higher sea level and allied storm surges and tides.
