Record #109745:

Growth of natural dams by deposition from steady supersaturated shallow flow / R.A. Wooding.

Title: Growth of natural dams by deposition from steady supersaturated shallow flow / R.A. Wooding.
Author(s): Wooding, R. A.
Date: 1991.
In: Journal of Geophysical Research. (1991.), Vol. 96(B1) (1991)
Abstract: Deals with shape assumed by surface of solid which "moves" by accreting material from shallow layer of fluid flowing over it. Example quoted of natural ice dam (J. Hardcastle, New Zealand Journal of Science and Technology, Vol. 3, 1920, p. 26-28) built up by deposition of ice crystals from pressure meltwater issuing as spring from Müller Glacier, Southern Alps of New Zealand.
Notes:

Journal of Geophysical Research. Vol. 96(B1) :667-682 (1991).

Keywords: 551.324.86 -- Glacier streams: Muller Glacier.
551.32 -- Glaciology.
551.324 -- Land ice.
