Record #109577:

Under-ice circulation and the residence time of a shallow bay / Bernard C. Kenney.

Title: Under-ice circulation and the residence time of a shallow bay / Bernard C. Kenney.
Author(s): Kenney, Bernard C.
Date: 1991.
In: Canadian Journal of Fisheries and Aquatic Sciences. (1991.), Vol. 48(1) (1991)
Abstract: Presents estimates of velocity of under-ice circulation and measurements of temperature fluctuations for Wupaw Bay, Southern Indian Lake, northern Manitoba. Reviews literature of buoyancy flux driven circulations and discusses possible energy sources for under-ice flow. Concludes with consideration of potential effect of circulation on water residence time in bay.
