Remote sensing as a potential technique for Antarctic weather monitoring and resource exploration / B.C. Panda, D.K. Das.

Title: Remote sensing as a potential technique for Antarctic weather monitoring and resource exploration / B.C. Panda, D.K. Das.
Author(s): Panda, B. C.
Das, D. K.
Date: 1990.
Publisher: New Delhi: India. Department of Ocean Development
In: Proceedings of Workshop on Antarctic Studies, May 3-5, 1988. (1990.),
Abstract: Briefly discusses potentialities of remote sensing techniques and demonstrates their usefulness in resource survey of area. Presents brief review with some typical examples and illustrations on remote sensing work carried out over area. Suggests possibilities of locating concentrations of phytoplankton, deposits of mineral resources and prospects for oil and deciding future plan of work on natural resource survey and weather monitoring of continent through remote sensing technique.
