Record #109289:

Sea ice properties studied from the icebreaker Tor during BEPERS-88 / L. Fransson, Bertil Håkansson, A. Omstedt, L. Stehn.

Title: Sea ice properties studied from the icebreaker Tor during BEPERS-88 / L. Fransson, Bertil Håkansson, A. Omstedt, L. Stehn.
Author(s): Fransson, L.
Håkansson, Bertil.
Omstedt, A.
Stehn, L.
Date: 1990.
In: SMHI Reports. Oceanography. (1990.), Vol. 10 (1990)
Abstract: Analyses physical properties of sea ice with their vertical and horizontal distribution, including crystal structure, salinity, temperature, density, porosity and strength. Calculation of density was particularly successful. Recommends that analysis of further remotely sensed data must take ground truth data into account. Includes many photographs of ice cores defining their type and structure.
