Record #108445:

Ice fabric in the Reckling Moraine / R. James Elliot, Gunter Faure.

Title: Ice fabric in the Reckling Moraine / R. James Elliot, Gunter Faure.
Author(s): Elliot, R. James.
Faure, Gunter.
Date: 1990.
In: Antarctic Journal of the United States. (1990.), Vol. 25(5) (1990)
Abstract: Whillans-Cassidy ice-flow model suggests that when ice encounters bedrock obstacle its flow is deflected upward and that ice sheet is rotated about 90° from original horizontal attitude by obstacle. Hypothesis was tested and confirmed by investigation of fabric of ice underlying this moraine adjacent to Transantarctic Mountains, southern Victoria Land, 1988-89.
