Um uppruna lághitasvaedha á Íslandi / Stefán Arnórsson, Sigurdhur R. Gíslason.

Title: Um uppruna lághitasvaedha á Íslandi / Stefán Arnórsson, Sigurdhur R. Gíslason.
Translated title: On the origin of low-temperature geothermal activity in Iceland.
Author(s): Arnórsson, Stefán.
Gíslason, Sigurdhur R.
Date: 1990.
Language: Icelandic.
In: Náttúrufraedingurinn. (1990.), Vol. 60(1) (1990)
Abstract: Investigates low-temperature geothermal activity in Iceland with regard to recent formation of tectonic fractures enhancing permeability and subsequent water convection. Concludes that natural heat output is highest and subsurface temperatures highest for low temperature fields lying where highest regional thermal gradients are present.
