Multiparameter and microwave radiative transfer modeling of nonspherical atmospheric ice particles / K. Franklin Evans, J. Vivekanandan.
Title: | Multiparameter and microwave radiative transfer modeling of nonspherical atmospheric ice particles / K. Franklin Evans, J. Vivekanandan. |
Author(s): | Evans, K. Franklin. Vivekanandan, J. |
Date: | 1990. |
Abstract: | Models are used concurrently to study radar/radiometry properties of horizontally oriented hexagonal plates, columns, and needles with regard to particle shape and bulk density. Ice water content is fixed at 0.1 g m⁻³ and realistic size distribution is used. |
Notes: | Offprint: IEEE Transactions on Geoscience and Remote Sensing. Vol. 28(4) :423-437. |
Keywords: | 53.087.23 -- Remote sensing. 551.32 -- Glaciology. 621.396.96 -- Radar. 551.578.4 -- Ice needles, sleet, falling snow and graupel. 551.501.81 -- Snow, radar observations. 551.578.41 -- Snow, structure, composition and temperature. 551.574.3 -- Condensation, ice particles in clouds. 519.673 -- Modelling.
